The seven wonders of our capital town

You have visited Ljubljana and can now, I am sure, say more about its wonders. What is, in your opinion, worth seeing in our capital and why?

Here is my personal list of wonders in Ljubljana:

1. NUK (National University Library) - this Library is something special, because it look like it's moving.

2. Three Bridges (Tromostovje) - these Bridges are something special because it is unusual to see three bridges together.

3. Zvezda Park - Kongresni trg - this park is unusual because there are free seats, but people sat on the ground.

4. Jože Plečnik's Marketplace - this structure is amazing. I can' explain why :)

5. Castle in Ljublana - this castle is in renovation so we can't see it. But my opinion is that Castle is fifth wonder in Ljubljana.

6. City Hall - City hall in Ljubljana is something special because when you entered it, you see a small gallery about Ljubljana in Middle Ages and earlier. You can also see a model of town at the end of Jankovič's Mayor time.

7. Parliament - this is kind of modern wonder in Ljubljana. In parliament is the most incredible think fresco in 3rd floor. Because of that fresco I think that parliament is the last wonder in Ljubljana. Now some words about this fresco. Fresco describes all history of Slovenian. It starts in age of Slavs (Slovani) and end in II. World War.

Ljubljana will also have some new which are not build yet. These wonders will be: Emonika (Passenger and Bussines Center) and two Stadiums (in Šiška and Bežigrad).

While we were walking in Ljubljana, we saw many buildings. I will describe a town hall in Ljubljana (Mestna hiša). The original building was built by the carniolan architect Peter Bezlaj in 1584. The town hall have got so many rooms, but the rooms are not open for public wiewing, so we could not go in building.

well, one of the most important wonders is Parlament. It's big and well equipped with furniture.

the other wonder is NUK. It's designed by Jože Plečnik, one of the biggest Slovenian architect. Tromostovje is also designed by Jože Plečnik.
